PORTLAND, Ore.—On Friday, May 20th from 6:00-9:00PM, the first ever Make & Mary workshop will be held for craftspeople who like to create while enjoying cannabis.
This one-of-a-kind event is open to adults 21+ years old, and attendees will have the opportunity to make their very own macrame plant hanger. A limited number of tickets are available online for $60 each. All the necessary materials and guidance will be provided, along with mocktails, snacks, and complimentary gifts from Mother Nature. Participants are invited to BYOC. No special skills are required.
Event sponsors include TJ’s Organic Gardens and Cannavore. Make & Mary attendees may sample a variety of TJ’s strains at a dedicated pre-roll bar run by a professional TJ’s budtender. Attendees will also receive a parting gift supplied by Cannavore, an award-winning Oregon-based edibles company.
“We’re one of the first private spaces to offer this kind of exclusive creative experience,” said Yvonne Perez Emerson of Tillamook Station, the venue host. “It's all about cultivating a maker community in an inspiring environment where people can simply relax and have a good time.”
Tillamook Station is located at 665 N Tillamook Street in Portland. It features a fully renovated interior with an eclectic, modern-industrial vibe, exposed brick walls, and lofty hanger-style ceilings.
“Portland is the perfect city for an event series of this type,” said Mauria Betts of Potency, the presenting partner. “We're interested in celebrating the evolving cannabis industry, encouraging responsible consumption, and introducing recreational users to top cannabis brands in unique and innovative ways."
Cannavore’s chocolate caramel kettlecorn was voted Best Sweet Edible at Dope Cup 2015. TJ’s was recently recognized by HighTimes for growing the best-tasting bud on earth.
